Miami plane crash landing fire
126 people escaped with no major injuries when RED Air MD-80 crash landed and caught fire at Miami International Airport 21st June 2022. Information suggests that a tire burst then landing gear collapsed, the plane landed on the fuselage ending in grass near the runway, and a fire started in the wing. The fire was contained and all passengers escaped with only a few minor injuries. All materials used in aircraft are subject to very demanding fire performance requirements.
