CAI Performance Additives launches new PIN flame retardant for polycarbonate film, transparent, weather & water resistant. The new halogen-free flame retardant additive achieves UL 94 V-0 down to 0.25 mm in PC film, with < 1% w/w loading. The product also improves resistance of PC film to weathering and to yellowing, and resistance to hydrolysis in water-contact applications. The silsesquioxane based halogen-free flame retardant is very effective in polycarbonate films and sheets.
