Description
P/N based intumescent system-4 are phosphorus/nitrogen-based halogen-free flame retardants. They are particularly suitable for polyolefins and polyolefin copolymers and for thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU). These intumescent flame retardant systems are designed to meet various flame retardancy requirements. They provide an intumescent system to polymers for significant reduction of heat release rate and contribute to depress the smoke & CO generation compared to conventional flame retardants. UL-94 V-0 can be achieved while maintaining good mechanical properties. They also offer good light stability.
